Thanksgiving
November 30, 2009

We enjoyed Thanksgiving week very much at our house. Kevin was able to take most of the week off. We enjoyed the extra family time immensely! I especially enjoyed Kevin and I’s  walks alone on the new trail behind Steeplechase. I have many, many things to be thankful for. I am thankful that Jesus is with me always, and He is my I Am. Whatever I need Him to be, in Whatever circumstance, even if He’s never had to be that to me before. He is all-sufficient. He is also a blesser by nature. He has poured out MANY blessings on me! My family is at the top of my list! He is also strengthening my marriage! He’s blessed me with an awesome core group at CBS, and many wonderful and godly friends. I also have extended family that love me and mine, and have been there for me through thick and thin. For all these things, I am grateful!

Danielle is 9!

I realized today that I never did a post on Dani’s b-day. Her b-day is May.28th. She’s my sweet, quiet one. When I was pregnant with her, God told me she would be like me, and she is. Kevin even wanted to name her after me,(my middle name.) This girl could be an interior designer, and she does NOT get her flair for decorating from me! She also has an incredible imagination as well! I love you Danielle!

Tiffany is 13!
November 30, 2009

God granted me the desire of my heart 13 yrs. ago when He gave me a little baby girl! I had my boy, and now I REALLY wanted a little girl as well. Thank you God for Tiffany! Tiffany means,”appearance of God,” and Alexis her middle name means,”helper,” and boy does this girl help! As the oldest girl in the family, she gets called upon often to help in various ways! She has a bold personality that I believe God will use one day mightily for His glory!  He uses her everyday in our home to bless our family. I’m enjoying her as she is growing into a young woman now. Our relationship is changing in a good way. These years are fleeting! I want to enjoy each and every day. Tiffany celebrated with family, and also with friends. I’ve got 2 teenagers in the house now, and they are such a blessing!

Domestically Challenged

Today, I got really inspired, and made a go at making my own laundry detergent! I was just about to pick up yet another box of detergent when a friend mentioned that she had starting making her own. It cost me less than $8 for the 3 items to make it! It should last our family like 5-6 mths! Now that is exciting! My husband was even impressed with my being so frugal! Unfortunately, being frugal is not a strength of mine, but I’m working on it! As his helper, I should do my part to help us save money and cut corners as much as possible. Kevin grated the soap, Tiffany helped with the mixing, and cooking, and Elizabeth helped with the stirring. Who knows what great feat I may attempt next! Maybe there is hope for the domestically challenged!
